On May 8th, 1908, the local newspaper, the
"Hamburger News" published a revealing article on the
companies activities:

During the last two years, a new company has been
established on the left-hand bank of the Reiherstieg.
Recently, this establishment was finalized and
inaugurated under the name "Norderwerft".
All of the Norderwerft has been practically constructed,
allowing large-scale operations at a low price.
The small shipyard gave the impression of having been
deviced and built with great care.
